I liked both Sting and Feat and would give them top billing but I gotta say the biggest thrill I ever got from an opening act was the Violent Femmes. "Why can't I get just one F%#K must have somthin to do with luck" oh yea those were the days or day as it were.

ha good one, steve didn't seem to have his chops down well at least at that show can't recall the date.guess i should cut him some slack,it was his first touring big stadiums in a long time.i didn't know it at the time but i guess he was out the touring biz for a few years prior to that i could be wrong.summer 92 was the year.he did come out and played with the boys in chicago and did a good job but james cotton was way better and had jerry grinnin that night.

I saw Miller in vegas and was underwhelmed. He did pop out with the Dead late second set. Problem with opening acts is that they usually were summer tour fillers. On the east coast you had the humidity and west coast like Vegas, it was 110 in the shade. Too hot to sit through an hour set and another hour plus for the boys to take the stage.
